Josh Campitelli
Registered Psychotherapist
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master of Psychology (MPsy) degree from Adler Graduate Professional School. My prior education comes from Wilfrid Laurier University, where I earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) with a specialization in marketing and a minor in psychology, before deciding to pivot to psychology full-time.
I have experience in private practice settings providing therapy and assessment services to a diverse client base. I have worked with individual adults and adolescents, including those managing the impacts of trauma, depression, anxiety, self-esteem difficulties, overwhelming emotions, and relational struggles. Based in Toronto, ON, I am currently providing psychotherapy to individuals in Ontario.
My Approach
I believe that every client is unique and my approach to therapy reflects that. I seek to really get to know the person who sits in front of me and collaborate with them every step of the way as we develop the therapy that works best for them. We all have the strength and capacity to lead fulfilling lives, regardless of whether we feel we may have gotten lost along the way; and I only hope to join my clients in their unique journeys to rediscover their strengths and reach their goals.
I am trained in Adlerian therapy and take an eclectic approach to counselling, integrating elements from various modalities such as person-centred therapies, acceptance and commitment therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy.
